Honda Civic Gen 10 Passenger Motor Mount Install Guide

Congratulations and thank you for your purchase of the Wunderladen Racing passenger motor mount for your 10th Generation Honda Civic! This guide will cover all steps to install this product on your vehicle and hopefully answer any questions you may have related to it.   • (1) Engine side bracket
  • (1) Bushing carrier housing w/bushings and center sleeve
  • (2) M10 long bolts
  • (2) M10 locknuts
  • (1) M12 long bolt
  • (1) M12 locknut
  • (2) M14 bolts
  • (1) M10 short bolt

Required Tools:

  • Ratchet
  • 10mm socket
  • 14mm socket
  • 15mm socket
  • 16mm socket
  • 18mm socket
  • 19mm socket
  • Socket extension
  • Flat head screwdriver
  • 14mm wrench
  • 15mm wrench
  • 19mm wrench

Installation Steps:

  1. Remove the silver access panel from the undertray. Use a large flathead screwdriver to remove the 6 quarter turn fasteners (circled in red) and a phillips head screw driver or 10mm socket to remove the 2 bolts (circled in yellow). The panel then slides back and comes down.
  2. Support the engine with a jack.
  3. Remove the black reinforcement strap that connects the main mount body to the vehicle body by removing the two 14mm bolts. 
  4. Unbolt the coolant expansion tank by removing the two 10mm bolts, the coolant tank does not need to be disconnected or removed. 
  5. Unbolt the ground strap from the engine mount by removing the 10mm bolt. 
  6. Unbolt the coolant hose bracket from the coolant hose (missing in photo) by removing the 10mm bolt. This bracket will not be reused. Unclip the coolant hoses from the plastic clips. 
  7. Unbolt the engine mount from the body by removing the two 17mm bolts. 
  8. Unbolt the engine mount from the engine by removing the two 19mm bolts and the one 19mm nut and remove the mount from the car. 
  9. Relocate the electrical ground to the fuel rail cover bolt as shown. The bolt is covered by the noise insulation foam under the intake manifold. Torque the bolt to 7ft/lbs.
  10. Assemble the Wunderladen Racing engine mount as shown, the largest of the three holes should be at the rear. Torque the two 15mm bolts to 45ft/lbs and torque the 16mm bolt to 70ft/lbs
  11. Attach the mount to the engine by sliding it over the stud on the timing cover and install the factory 19mm nut. Install the two supplied 18mm bolts. Do not torque them yet. 
  12. Using the factory 17mm bolts bolt the mount to the body of the car. Do not torque them yet. 
  13. Attach the black reinforcement strap to the body with one of the factory 14mm bolts and to the engine mount with the supplied 15mm bolt. Do not torque them yet.
  14. Torque the 17mm bolts holding the mount to the body of the car to 36ft/lbs.
  15. Torque the 14mm bolt holding the reinforcement strap to the body to 40ft/lbs, then torque the 15mm bolt holding the reinforcement strap to the engine mount to 40ft/lbs.
  16. Torque the 19mm nut to 69ft/lbs and two18mm bolts holding the mount to the engine to 69ft/lbs.
  17. Reinstall the coolant tank with the two 10mm bolts.
  18. The installation of the mount is complete, remove the jack from supporting the engine and reinstall the silver access panel, quarter turn fasteners and 10mm/phillips fasteners.
